Decisions, Decisions, Decisions About Your Augmentation
For a woman, the breasts can be a key part of self-confidence. Breasts that are too small or uneven provide an unending source of dissatisfaction when getting dressed every morning and undressed every night. Every woman deserves to love her body, and breast augmentation with Dr. Herte could provide the boost you need.
But once you make the decision to have breast augmentation, you’ll have four other decisions to make before we schedule your surgery.
Of course, if you’re considering breast augmentation, the first step is a consultation with Dr. Herte. Together, you’ll discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure. Dr. Herte will see that your expectations are in line with reality and with what can be achieved.
Once you decide to go forward, here are four other decisions you’ll need to make:
Implant type. You’ll choose between saline implants or silicone implants. Most people feel that silicone implants have a more natural feel than saline.
Implant position. You’ll decide if you want the implant placed atop the breast muscle or underneath the breast muscle. Of course, there is some subjectivity here, but many believe that implants placed under the muscle have a more natural look and feel.
Incision location. Implants can be placed through incisions either at the bottom of the breast, near or in the areola, or in the armpit. Obviously, incisions in the breast crease leave the least visible scarring.
Implant style. The last of your decisions will be the size and shape of your implants. There are many sizes, shapes and styles to choose from and Dr. Herte will help you sort it all out.
This may seem like a daunting list of overwhelming decisions, but know that Dr. Herte will help you with each of them. Call us at 702-732-9600 and let’s discuss the exciting possibilities of breast augmentation.
