What Is A Liquid Facelift?
A liquid facelift utilizes multiple cosmetic injectables to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and improve overall facial contours for a more youthful appearance. As a non-surgical alternative to the traditional facelift, this injectable-based treatment is a viable option for men and women who want to turn back the clock without undergoing surgery and navigating the associated recovery. In fact, the liquid facelift treatment has no downtime, making it a great “lunchtime procedure.”
At the Herte Center for Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Mary Herte and Allergan Master Injector Hollie Tyler, APRN utilize only FDA-approved injectables that come directly from the manufacturer to ensure our patients’ safety. From neurotoxins like BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® to dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®, Dr. Herte and Hollie can design a custom treatment plan to help you reverse facial aging with incredibly natural-looking results.
Is A Liquid Facelift Right For Me?
Although surgery provides the most significant improvement for more advanced signs of facial aging, the liquid facelift can provide beautiful results for the right candidates. Most commonly, patients tend to undergo a liquid facelift in their 30s and 40s, since the treatment can help delay the need for a surgical facelift. In general, those who relate to the following can often benefit from a liquid facelift:
- Have mild to moderate signs of aging in multiple facial areas
- Desire a minimally invasive method of rejuvenation
- Want to address wrinkles, jowls, and volume loss
- Maintain realistic expectations about their outcome
The best way to learn if you are a candidate for a liquid facelift is to schedule a consultation with a qualified aesthetic professional. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Herte is experienced with both surgical and non-surgical facelifts, giving her the necessary expertise to inform patients of their options and recommend which solution is most appropriate for their unique needs and preferences.
Which Injectables Should I Get In My Liquid Facelift?
Our team utilizes a wide range of FDA-approved injectables, each of which offers unique benefits. In general, dermal fillers are advised for adding subtle volume to areas and smoothing static wrinkles, such as in the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and lip lines. Neurotoxins, like BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport, work well for smoothing dynamic lines, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. For patients wanting to achieve fuller, more shapely lips, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Silk, JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC, and/or JUVÉDERM Ultra® XC may be recommended.
Depending on your needs and aesthetic goals, our team may recommend a combination of injectables. Many of our younger patients want more of a “plump” look, while our older patients prefer a smooth and youthful aesthetic. Based on the results you would like to achieve, our team can explain which injectable options may be the most beneficial.
How Is A Liquid Facelift Performed?
Once a treatment plan has been tailored to your needs, Dr. Herte or Hollie can begin the liquid facelift process. Prior to your procedure, a topical anesthetic may be used to help numb the treatment areas, ensuring you remain as comfortable as possible throughout your appointment. Once this takes effect, a small needle will be used to administer the injectables into the targeted facial areas. The entire liquid facelift procedure typically takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete. If you would like a more gradual improvement in your facial concerns, your treatment can be performed over the course of multiple treatments.
How Long Does A Liquid Facelift Last?
The results from your liquid facelift may last anywhere from six months to about two years. This is because every injectable has a slightly different lifespan. In addition, the amount of each product you receive and where it is placed will factor into the longevity of your results. To maintain your results for many years, we recommend patients come in for touch-up treatments.
How Much Does A Liquid Facelift Cost?
Since the liquid facelift is highly customized to each patient’s needs, there is not a fixed cost for the procedure. Once your treatment plan has been established, our team can provide you with a personalized quote to help you understand what to expect from your treatment.
