What Does the SKINVIVE™ Treatment Process Involve?
The SKINVIVE™ treatment time can be fairly quick, often lasting around 15 minutes. One of our Master Injectors, Dr. Mary C. Herte or Hollie Tyler, APRN will inject a small amount of SKINVIVE™ gel into the treatment area below the skin. The solution contains a common pain reliever called lidocaine, so potential discomfort should be minimized.
Swelling and mild bruising are common side effects after SKINVIVE™ treatment, but often subside in a timely manner. There is typically little to no downtime required, so most patients can return to their normal routines and activities immediately.
What Results Can I Expect from SKINVIVE™?
Results from SKINVIVE™ often last up to six months, and when effects start to wear off, patients can schedule an additional treatment. It is recommended that patients minimize their physical activity, exposure to the sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours following injection.
